If you’d follow me on this journey you know that this isn’t the first Sweet Tea Showcase blog or post for that matter. As the seasons change so do we and we’re at another chapter in our lives that it is time for a shake up. At this point I’ve graduated with my Bachelors in Family and Human Development. Joey has started his masters and Shane will be ending his last year in elementary school.
Time is a thief, there is no other way to say it. I look back on the last 3 years of our family and it was sheer survival. Keeping our heads down and grinding. No time to react but just do and check if off the honey to list. I’m not going to rehash the hellscape that we’ve come out from under over the course of the last few years, this isn’t what new chapters are for. It’s looking forward and making our house a home and how we want it to look like and what love we want in it.
Sweet Tea Showcase is a true state of mind and being. It’s the everyday chaos of getting everyone where they need to be. It’s the song of laughter and glasses clinking when with friends. The stories and recipes of family through the generations. Its smelling Momma’s cooking from the kitchen or Daddy’s bbq. It’s the sunset on a perfect day. The sunrise to the best day ever. Sweet Tea Showcase is all the things that make you, you.
